Bentley Continental GT V8 does 24 mpg

The all-new Bentley Continental GT V8 has been rated at 24 mpg on the highway, but that fuel efficiency would be quite tricky to achieve and it pretty much varies on how heavy your right foot is.

After being officially presented to the public not too long ago, the all-new Bentley Continental GT V8 is once again placed into the spotlights, this time with the company announcing an impressive fuel efficiency of 24 mpg on the highway. According to the car manufacturer, the luxurious vehicle is returning an average of 15/24 mpg in city/highway, while the larger W12 can hit 12 mpg, so the V8 would probably be a right choice, considering its price too, which is 18,000 USD less than the W12.

The Bentley Continental GT V8 is powered by the 4.0 liter V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 660 Nm available between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. When mated to the new close-ratio eight-speed automatic transmission, the model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 180 mph or 290 km/h. Prices for the new Bentley Continental GT V8 start at 120,000 GBP.
