Bentley EXP 9 F SUV to be redesigned in production form

The luxury car manufacturer Bentley is planning to redesign the EXP 9 F SUV Concept once the model will hit the production line, after being poorly received by the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Even if the production version of the Bentley EXP 9 F SUV won’t make its way onto the market until 2015, the officials within the company are already thinking how the model can be upgraded in order for its exterior design to reflect what it really is: a luxury SUV, so the model is expected to come in a new configuration on its front fascia, with the headlights being smaller and set farther inward, according to the company’s boss, Wolfgang Durheimer, who spoke with Whatcar?

The manufacturer says that the EXP 9 F SUV’s design has been inspired by the Blower Bentleys from the late 1920s, but the Bentley SU is actually a fusion of crafted luxury and advanced in-car technology, with a 6.0 liter twin turbo W12 engine, which is mated to an eight-speed transmission. The Bentley SUV will become the third model in the company’s lineup, after the Mulsanne and the Continental, once it will hit the market in its final form in 2015. More details on the SUV will be announced close to its launch.
